Our 2023 red wines have just won three gold medals at the Concours International de Lyon: the Divico, the Syrah and the Cabernet Franc. Lyon is one of the largest wine competitions in the world, with over 5,000 wines competing. A wonderful start to this year's medal season.
The Divico 2023 was even rated the best wine of the tasting by its jury. Readers of this newsletter can guess that this makes me particularly happy. I consider this grape variety one of the great developments in Swiss winemaking, with enormous, still untapped potential. I am delighted to be bringing the Divico to more and more top restaurants in Switzerland — more on that soon.
At the end of May, the reservation window will open for our white wines: a barrel-aged Chardonnay 2024, a barrel-aged Viognier 2024, a Savagnin 2024, and for the very first time a sweet wine, the Muscat Doux 2024, in very small quantity (less than 100 litres). I very much look forward to presenting this new vintage to you. As always, customers on our reservation list will have first access to the new wines.
